You are invited to participate in a
research study about the "Economics of Educating Women in
Arkansas." If you volunteer to participate in this study, you will be
asked to complete a short survey that will take approximately 10 minutes.
This research study is
designed to look at the type of education that women in Arkansas receive as
well as the benefits of that education and the challenges faced in obtaining
that education. The data from this survey will be used to assist in the
selection of qualified women in the participation of one-on-one interviews.
There are no foreseeable risks or benefits associated with the study. Data will
be stored electronically and then deleted. It will be stored under password
protection and no identifying information will be used in publication. The
investigators and advisors, as well as the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas, will
have access to the data. It will be stored for at least 3 years after
completion of the study.
Your participation in this research study
is voluntary. You may refuse to participate or stop participation at any
time without penalty. To stop, simply exit the survey.
If you have any questions about the
research, you may contact Dr. Rhonda McClellan, Director of the PhD in
Leadership program at UCA, 501.852.0910.
This research project has been reviewed and
approved by the Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects
at the University of Central Arkansas.
